The glass is shock-resistant and tempered to help prevent damage caused by sudden temperature changes. The stainless-steel band around the rim also provides added resistance to breaking. Avoid scrubbing the glass lid with abrasive cleaners, as it can scratch the glass. Scratches can cause the lid to crack. Glass: 4.00 mm thick.
